Personal Soundscapes beim musikprotokoll 2014

Last year, musikprotokoll presented its online art project “Personal Soundscapes” for the first time on an ORF art radio programme. The focus is on the fascination of everyday sounds as material for composition and features throughout this year’s instalment of the festival.

Personal Soundscapes: Let‘s play Graz!

Young people will be out and about in the city during this Friday evening, immersing themselves in life-worlds of sound, using their smartphones to transmit their acoustic objets trouvés straight into the foyer of the Helmut-List-Halle, where the composer and sound artist Volkmar Klien will create a real-time imaginary, urban architecture of sound from these clips – an acoustic snapshot of a young city.

With Volkmar Klien (AT) & students of the Ortweinschule, department of arts and design.

Personal Soundscapes: Let‘s play Steiermark!

...feeding the future. “Personal Soundscapes: Let’s play Steiermark!” was developed in cooperation with “konfrontationen”, a schools art project that has been under way in Styria for several years. In these confrontations, students join up with artists to develop new ideas, achieving short, but intense performances.
